History

Baets Trade & Transport is a family company founded by Baets-Brinkmans as a pub with coal supply company next to the railway line at Kelperweg in Kelpen-Oler in about 1900.
1925
In 1925 the company was taken over by Baets-Meevis who continued the flourishing business. More and more the company developed into a fuel and fodder trading company initially aimed at the agricultural sector in the nearby region.
1953
In 1953, the year of the big flood in the west of Holland, the company started producing straw mats which were used to strengthen the structure of the dikes. Later these mats are also used for transporting race pigeons.
1960
As of 1960 the three Baets brothers took the lead and closed the pub in 1962. Trade in especially coal, fuel and straw grew.
1980
In 1980 sales & trading was extended by industrial animal feed products such as brewery spent grain and beetroot press pulp.
1989
In 1989 the company started transporting bulk material and gradually specialised in transporting waste products and recycling material. The fleet of trucks consisted of 5 trucks and 2 tank lorries.
1996
In 1996 the company was taken over by M. Baets. Due to close collaboration with fellow road haulage companies the state of the art company now permanently disposes of a fleet of 16 trucks and extensive storage capacity.
Four generations have developed Baets Trade & Transport into a sound and entrepreneurial company that turns doing business with them into pleasure.
